Railway Jacket (JA120) SAMPLE SALE
Description
These contrast sleeve jackets were worn as part of Railway uniforms up to 1950's. They sometimes had striped sleeves to indicate which company the workers belonged to. We have replicated the most common one which had faded cotton sleeves and back on a wool front.
We currently only have a few of these jackets as they are work in progress. The buttons are not evenly spaced and the calico lining is too lightweight. They are priced accordingly and we are selling them now in order to gauge your opinion. Do please let us know how you get on with them as we need to hear your comments before proceeding with bulk production.
The front is 100% wool from a British mill and the sleeves a brushed grey cotton. The lining is traditional cotton calico which will be heavier in future.
