We are delighted to be able to offer this extremely useful C19th coat.
This is a direct copy of an original Victorian Coachman's coat. It has a waist seam with functioning external pockets and inside we have retained the very large lower pockets along with a top jetted one.
The sleeves are wide and the shoulders slope at exactly the right angle, having no C20th pads.
The back has a particularly distinctive cut with correct seaming and central vent in the skirt.
It has five buttons and can be worn buttoned up to the top for a very distinctive late C19th look or on the next button down for a more relaxed appearance.
We plan three variations of this cloth but currently only have Grey Stripe wool with brown cotton lining. This is a very soft loose weave so ideal for breaking down.
