Know as boiled front shirts, these have the traditional starched bib front and cuffs.
They were worn on all formal evening occasions by late Victorians and Edwardians with starched wing collar and white tie.
The tradition continues today at very formal events such as white tie balls and certain regiments in the Army also insist on them as correct wear with Mess dress
They are now virtually unobtainable but we have them specially made for us so the supply is secure.

Made in 100% cotton and feature a loop at the back neck to keep the tie in place and a loop at the bottom of the bib.

There is also a placket opening mid chest which enables the studs to be fastened without crumpling the bib.
Designed to close with 3 dress studs which are available separately.
Single cuffs with buttonholes for cuff links.
Curved shirt tails.

We do keep all these shirts in stock but certain sizes may need to be starched. This process takes approximately 10 days.

Measurements: Finished length from collar to hem 34" Sleeve length 34" centre back to cuff. The bib is approximately 15" long.
Sizes: 14.5"-20".
Colours/Fabrics: White 100% cotton.
Era: Late C19th to early C20th.
